Chaos from Organization

Who would have though that one could create such chaos by organzing?

Ignore the cute baby and his Daddy snuggling on the couch... look past it.  I present to you, box mountain!  Surprisingly this is not even all of the boxes.  T had already moved all the boxes marked "clothes" or "boys room" up to the bedrooms, and all the bathroom boxes to the bathroom, and all the kitchen related boxes to the kitchen.

Despite the immensity of the pile, we were able to make a dent in the pile quite quickly.  I was so lucky to have my mom here to help.  She watched the boys and played with my new cleaning products while I opened boxes and found homes for things.

...And yes, she was playing with the products.  I had just received a bunch of new Norwex products and she was having fun testing them out!

Besides the kitchen, our first goal was to get the toys into the play area.  There is still chaos in the area, but there were so many boxes of toys that just getting those out of the way gave us room to move onto other challenges.

The boys had missed their toys.  We started packing before Christmas, and many gifts were just put into boxes without even opening the packaging.  Now, at the end of February, they are finally able to open these toys.

I think the most missed item, especially for Jack, was his kitchen.  He was so excited when it came up the stairs he was trying to play with it before the bubble wrap even came off,  I have had so many pretend teas and sandwiches.  His sandwiches usually have weird ingredients like jam on eggs or whole carrots but it is so much fun to watch his imagination run wild.  His most famous dish since moving is "Roasted Fox".  I think someone has read The Gruffalo a few too many times...

Ian has also discovered the love for the kitchen. He is quite often found playing there, tho he just stands there and shoves things into his mouth.  Jack is not always impressed when he finds the tea cups with Ian drool in them.

What is the best part about unpacking boxes?  Bubble wrap!  There have been many bubble wrap dances - tho from other rooms it sounds more like machine guns!
